Your Creative Child: Feeding the Tiger, Part One

Seventeen years ago, when I consented to teach cello to my two-year-old daughter, Annette, I had no concept of the problems I was preventing. All I knew at the time was that she wanted to be a musician.

After we started, her drive expanded and accelerated until I could hardly keep up. It appeared that if we’d never started lessons, I wouldn’t have created an impossible job for myself, where the more I taught her, the more she wanted to learn.
